The Totogi status page: what it shows and when to raise a ticket
Overview
Where can I see whether Totogi Charging has an outage or an incident? Totogi publishes the current state of the charging platform on its status page: https://totogi.statuspage.io. Check it first when charging, Plan Design or API access stops working for many subscribers at the same time.
Information
The status page shows five components for each of the two regions, US East and Singapore:
| Component | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Charging Engine | Rating and charging of usage requests |
| Diameter adapter | The Diameter interfaces to your network (Gy, Gx, Rx and Sy) |
| EDR Storage | Storage of event data records (EDRs) |
| Plan UI | The Plan Design web application |
| External management API | The APIs that manage accounts, plans and subscriptions |
To use the page:
- Find the region that your tenant runs in. If you do not know it, ask Totogi Support in a ticket.
- Read the status of each component in that region.
- If an incident is open, it shows at the top of the page with its updates.
The status page shows problems that affect the platform. A problem that affects only the configuration of your own tenant, for example a plan or a rating group, does not show there.
When to raise a ticket
Raise a ticket when you see a problem and the status page shows every component in your region as operational. If an incident is open for your component, you can still raise a ticket. Give the title of the incident, so that support can link your ticket to it.
Put all of this in the ticket, so that support can start at once:
- Your tenant (provider) ID. If you do not have it, give the name of your company and the region.
- The service that fails: charging, the Diameter connection, EDRs, Plan Design or the management API.
- The start time in UTC, and whether the problem continues.
- One example: an account ID and, for Diameter, the Session-Id. For an API call, the request and the error that it returned. If you have no example, say so.
- The result code or error message that your network or your integration received.
- How many subscribers are affected, approximately.
